I’ve always wanted to write a blog and knew it had to be about translation. The number of blogs out there on this subject is overwhelming, though. How could I attempt to write something new and fresh with so many good professionals posting high quality texts every day?
At the ATA 51st Annual Conference (October 2010), I heard from more than one colleague that there were very few blogs targeting translation clients. “Hey, that’s something I can definitely do,” I thought. So here I am, writing about my passion from a whole new perspective—at least for me.
My idea is to address topics that are relevant to translation buyers, focusing on what I believe might help them understand how the industry works and how to get the best value for their money. At the same time, although I’m not writing specifically for translators, I believe service providers can learn a great deal as well.
